India Post issued a new Commemorative stamp series on Bhagat Singh with the denomination of Rs.5. Shahhed Bhagat Singh was an India revolutionary socialist who is considered to be the hero of Indian National Struggle. Born in a Punjabi Sikh Family he was accustomed to great deal of wealth. However, Bhagat Singh sacrificed his entire life for the sake of India’s freedom and became the idol for many Indian Youngsters. He was caught as a revolutionary and tried and executed for the assassination of J. P. Sanders on 23rd March 1931.Latest News
